flu's rolling through pretty hard nationally. i'm still getting over it, i couldn't stop sweating tonight. opted out on drinking. it's 2 am on new years and i'm getting ready to go to bed, sober, and it feels like i have a hangover anyway. WAAAAAAAH WAAAAH that's what i sound like.
but anyway, who else has caught this radical stomach flu?

I haven't gotten the flu yet, but I got a cold a couple of weeks ago and now I have a nasty cold right now; might be strep throat. It's only a matter of time before the flu makes it's way to me. :/

Wife got a stomach bug, was puking for 12 hours straight, my 10 month old son caught it, only puked once (thank God) at midnight the same night, I was feeling fine, was asleep after putting my son back to sleep and 3AM rolls around sit up straight out of bed barely make it into the bathroom to throw up into the sink. Puked from 3AM until 2PM... Better the next morning...

I missed the flu and got hit with bronchitis.

the week before christmas i lost my voice and got hit with the flu. the when christmas day rolled on i felt better so it was all good.

but then! boxing day! (black friday for canada) i had to work at bestbuy for 10 hours. my throat was the most raped it has ever been. trying to talk to uneducated custies every second made me ill for another couple days and i coughed up some blood and what not.

I was out for a few days mid December. I had lost my voice and was super weak. I couldn't even get out of bed to do the simplest tasks! God I'm glad I got better.

There's still something going around because there's people at my work who are coughing and sound like they've been smoking since they were born.

And that brings me to another thing. I HATE people who come to work sick! If you're sick, stay home!

yeah, i just had some super weird body flu thing. i hit me in like 6 hours, went from ok
to super shitty right as i got off work. had next day off, woke up. couldnt move, nor did i want to.
sat/slept on the couch all day, retarded head ache, whole body was sore. then i had to take a sick day
for friday so i could rest up so if be ok to work sunday.

nyquil was great.

Sore throat + heavy cough + runny nose + losing voice Saturday night.

Sweet.

Drank Dayquil throughout the day and just had some Nyquil. Can't wait for this shit to be over.

But when I do shitty, I down a gallon of REAL orange juice and a bottle of Tylenol PM in about a 36-48 hour period to kick the cold or flu.

I uuuusually have a mega immune system. On Christmas Eve, I started to get that scratchy feeling in my throat. I said, "oh yeah, no big deal, I'll drink some Emercen C and go to sleep, and I'll be fine in the morning."
I woke up the next day feeling like I'd been dragged through a pile of assholes. It's been over a week, and I still feel shitty. Bronchitis sucks.

Most of that medicine you're taking just makes you feel worse. The only thing you need to "worry" about is when you have a fever, take Tylenol to reduce it.

ive always had the most luck with Advil as an overall pain-killer.
seems to be effective enough for most pains,
plus it hits faster than say aspirin.
dayquil is pretty awesome too, suppresses the symptoms and allows me to function at work.

so far ive been lucky with this flu season.
just a matter of time probably.

Sweet its not just me...

I woke up monday with a sore throat. Next day I started getting congested. This morning, I'm so congested, feels like I had somebody trying to their their way out of the front of my head. That and everytime I spit out phlegm, it looks like really soft tofu.

I usually get sick when weather is shitty. Been a fucking roller coaster ride in temp out here the last 2 weeks. Cold and gloomy for a couple of days at high 40s then kick it back up to 70s, then crap again. Then the wife loves to turn the house into a raging inferno when its cold. Temp changes just fucks my immune system up...

but i do watch my fevers and make sure they dont get too high
so far the longest i been sick was 4 days without taking meds
