I am planning on drifting and auto-crossing my RB25DET built 240sx, this up coming spring. I am having problems getting racing seats however. I guess I shouldn't say I am having problems getting them, it is more the problem of finding good ones that are cheap. I have been looking around and have seen NRG, Sparco Sprint 5, and Corbeau forza coming up as cheap ones. My question is what would be a good seat to go with for a rookie who is going to be daily driving the car and taking it to the track? I am not in a good area to go and test seats, so I am trying to get some reviews. As well please do not tell me to get really expensive ones, because I have OMP one that are going in the year after, (when my brother sells his car) so i am not looking to break the bank if I am just going to get good ones. If you guys know of anywhere that has great racing seats at low prices, by all means let me know, I will be very grateful! Any reviews or things you can tell me about those 3 brands that I had mentioned to or even new suggestions would be lovely!
Thanks for the help!

A good seat for motorsports is not going to be a good seat for daily driving.
Your going to have to figure out what you want to compromise and where.
Your best bet is probably a cheap knockoff fixed bucket. Or like an r32/33 seat with a harness.
Search for this though...I know there is already an old thread with seat reviews and fitments in it.

allow me, gentlemen. i answered this question last week
there are these really high end, but not so high end seats being sold. they are called VARIANT. like, variant BRIDE, variant RECARDO, variant VIAGRA.
a guy on the forums sells these " VARIANT " seats.. for pennies on the dollar. they are like 400 bucks, SHIPPED... FREE. and, they're 100% eco-friendly and can be recycled. so.......... in the event of a collision, the seat snaps in half and doubles as a coffin. kinda like being in a clam, except clams dont have BRIDE written on them
so, buy these VARIANT seats. club4ag guys love them. why? because club4ag guys are the ONLY car enthusiasts that make 240 owners look like ballers.
support " VARIANT " seats. made in uzbekistan by 10 year old slave labor. love it.

when i was younger i would buy lower quality parts...you end up replacing them a few months later. Jus save up and buy a quality part. After all its your seat...you sit in it and its your life.

I hate to be rude but did no one read the first post. I have OMP racing seats that will be going in the car next spring or maybe even in the middle of this season. I already have OMP harnesses, and a roll cage. I am not goin to blow all my money on seats when I am going to be replacing them in less then 3 months. I was just wondering what compromise I could go with for cheap bucket racing seats? Thanks and sorry if I offend anyone with my rudeness.

We read the op...we're giving you our opinion on the seats you listed. thats nice that you have those seats waiting for you but it would be nice to have something thats safe in the meantime. Do what you feel is right, its your car. not to be rude.

lol what happened to this thread.
Sparco and Corbeau are quality brands, when i used to autocross alot of people used both. Cant go wrong with those...NRG i have no experience with. The unfortunate problem with seats is they fit everyone differnt, however if you are average height and build most should fit reasonably well for the few months or so that you need them.

You had said that you have used sparco and corbeau seats which one would you suggest for the mean time? The lowest priced ones of course.

Why dont you go search???????????????????? Do some of your own homework now that its been narrowed down to two brands for you.
Thay both make 32849347947 different styled seats in different sizes.
Like i've already said, its going to depend on if you want reclinable seats or not. And then if you want FIA approved or not. New or used.. etc.
