So this is the story up to this point..

-1992 Nissan 240sx automatic with stock KA24DE
-Car has new battery that is only about 7 months old

Parked my car, in perfect running condition, about 4 months ago. Went to crank it up to go somewhere and it was dead, I grab my other car to jump it off. I get it running but it runs like shit.. We narrowed it down to being the 4th cylinder as that is the only injector we can unplug without it making a bit of difference in the way the engine runs. I've replaced the plugs and I'm still not sure why but I replaced the fuel filter as well.

I hooked up a timing light to each wire including the 4th cylinder's wire and they all make the timing light work, not sure if that can completely rule out the plug wires.. I also tried using another ECU. The first one was out of a '91 automatic that made the engine make a wonderful metal against metal squealing noise, the 2nd was out of a perfectly running '92 automatic that wouldn't even make my car crank. Put my ECU back in and it cranked right up, missing cylinder and all.

We've also tried multiple injectors, the first one ended up ohming out way too high, replaced it with one that was ohming at about an 11 and still made no difference. Not sure if I've missed everything but this is where I'm at, it's been about 4 months since the car has run right and it's been slow going even trying to check it as it decided to do this right before I moved so it's not exactly right outside my front door and with a baby on the way most of my money has to go elsewhere. Any advice on what I could be missing would be much appreciated.

Check the distributor cap and rotor. Clean all the contact points. If that doesn't change anything swap 2 plug wires to see if the problems move with the wire

^^^that is a good suggestion, though id almost say just replace the cap and rotor instead of messing with cleaning it, its cheap enough and if it doesnt fix it then atleast you still have a new cap and rotor

did you check the actual injector plugs? my car was missing pretty good on a couple cylinders and i discovered that it was a connector problem that i needed to fix...

I'm not sure if it's the plug or what.. my buddy checked it a week or two ago and said he saw decent voltage there, I checked it a few days ago and it was getting less than a volt. Not sure if I should try yet another ECU or if the problem is gonna be in the harness..

the EXACT same thing happened to my 1992 ka coupe about a year ago.
I parked it for a month....running fine at the time, then went to start it and it ran horrible!

The fourth cylinder happened to have a clogged injector...in my case.

i bet its the ecu, if you are getting less than one volt. swap ecu's and check back

I found a guy around here that had an ECU out of a '92 automatic that was running perfect when pulled from his car. We put it in and nothing.. the car would turn over but wouldn't crank up. Damned ECU had the same code as mine and everything..

are you saying that his car was throwing the same code as yours, or are you saying that once you threw the ecu it threw the same code...if the first is the case, did you try resetting your ecu?
