Need help with Calibration!

As the tittle say's i was hoping my fellow zilvian's can help me out on the calibration setting's for my new Tv it's a SONY Bravia KDL46NX800 i have searched many site's and to no avail for the settings. so if anyone can help me out on this that would be great thanks in advance!

UGH, i was spending A LOT of time calibrating my new toshiba that i bought over black friday as well...it drives me CRAZY!!!

theres not much we can do without being there with you...and even then, something that looks good to us may look different to you...in the end your eyes are the boss...

one tip is to either buy some calibration software/kit or any dvd that has thx...for example, i borrowed toy story from a friend because it has a calibration section...

there are also a number of good sites and pages that can get you started or more familiar with messing with settings yourself...but in the end, for best results, a calibration kit is recommended...if youre a real theatrical aficionado, you can always hire a professional...hope that helps...

i had no idea that the THX disc had that i'll pick up Toy story tonight on my way home and try to figure it out myself, again thanks for the heads up!

here is some more info on the "thx optimizer"...it is not the end all be all of calibration tools, but it definitely suffices for most of us out there:

and here is a list of DVD/blu rays that should have it:

i say should as i am not 100% sure because thx states that "most" thx certified films come with the optimizer...however, i am 110% sure that toy story comes with it among a few more titles that i am sure of (star wars, indiana jones, terminator 2: ultimate edition, etc.)...should state it on the sleeve...good luck!

Avia Calibration Disc was pretty popular (amazon/ebay) back in the day.

Check avsforums for any new stuff.

guys i haven't had a chance to pick up any THX movie as i had to get ready for my trip upstate i'll be able to try this when i come back on the 4th of Jan. but again thanks and i'll let you guys know Asap how it worked out for me
