I found this interesting.
Ill admit, that looks pretty sick
This guy's whole collection is HF tools, tool box, sockets, wrenches, gauges etc

Impressive for the $ but a lot of harbor freight stuff is just simply junk.

Harbor freight has a few things that are junk, but I've had some really good luck with their tools and their air tools have been real solid...you get what you pay for but a the same time some of it you could break 4 times before you have spent as much as rhe equivalent from craftsman

yeah my entire tool assortment is harbor freight as well...(minus my box which was a free handout). they are pretty shitty lol, the needle noses i have flex if you put to much torque on them and i've broken a few wrenches lol...but for the money its pretty good and they're warranty is decent. for the $$$$$$$$$$$ he spent on all that USELESS shit he could have opted not to get it and got a slightly scaled down set of a better brand. imo he is one of those dudes that cares more about having an "awesome" tool collection/box then using it. who the fuck needs 1000000x ratchets the only difference being grips?

Very true^ ^ see with my tools, I started with one of the larger plastic box craftsman kits that I got around xmas when they do that huge sale...from there I bought more of the important stuff from craftsman, like screwdrivers and pliers, but then when it comes to say more sockets, or an angle grinder, or some sppecialty tool that isn't needed very often, ill buy it from HF, but I definitely don't buy tools from them that ill be using A LOT...for those I buy craftsman so if I bust it, I get another one

harbor freights warranty is pretty good...the only thing that is a pain in the ass is when i broke a wrench i couldn't just swap the wrench (not like sears just walk in and walk out thing) i had to gather all the wrenches that came in the set and dig out the receipt (luckily i save all my harbor freight receipts) and do a legitimate exchange for credit and get the new stuff. BUT they at least let me do that so technically it was a hassle free exchange of busted tool for new tool.

harbor freight isnt bad...im mostly craftman, but i have random HF knick knacks that get the job done...their torque wrenches are good too...i remember reading a persons independent review of them and they were within the same tolerances as the high dollar ones, new and down the line with much usage...if youre a weekend warrior and not a full fledged mechanic or hardcore club racer, id say they get the job done pretty well...

I got a harbor freight buffer that works pretty well. I have used lot of professional ones. The harbor freight one is a little under powered and I'm certain wont last near as long as others. For use at home and not in a shop, it works great.

I got a 21 gal air compressor from there for a few years, then found a review on youtube stating to turn up the pressure switch .. soo much better.. i ordered a higher pop relief valve for it and gonna try to make it quieter.

I have mostly Snap-On ratchets. But for sockets and wrenches, it's all Craftsman.
I do have an assortment of the specialty stuff that I don't use very often that came from Harbor Freight. Also some of the consumable stuff like angle grinder discs and cut off wheels.
I also have a HF powder coating machine that is damn awesome. Just buy good powder, don't skimp on that.

All in all, HF is a good store. They have good deals, and stick to their warranties. But I think the guy in the first post's video suffers from little man syndrome when it comes to tools...

LOL I forgot. I have had like three of their jacks. They seem to last me about three years a pop.I am told I am lucky they have lasted that long.Take off the STUPID white cup an its relatively low, I still have to use 2x4's, but the jack works okay for the price. I will most likely not be getting another one IMO.

for harbor freight and other cheap made in china parts, i follow rule of thumb of t1000.

that is, anything that is not complex, sophisticated, or has moving parts i will possibly get such as pliers, screwdrivers, drill bits, pry bars, etc. they are cheap to replace anyways and usually break.

stuff that is mechanical, sparks, or uses power such as drills, power saws, sanders, even hydraulic jacks, i will get more reputable stuff.

little off topic, but where do you buy your powder from? I've only bought from Eastwood and PowderBuyThePound and some of them kinda suck haha
