Hey guys i was thinking about buying this clutch and flywheel for my s13 sr. Any of you guys have this clutch? How does it compare with the ACT Street Clutch? Any reviews will be appreciated.

i think exedy produces an oem style type clutch and then racing clutches too. for performance, of course go with the racing clutches. im not sure if anyone on here has it, but a lot of ppl will say go with spec or act. they are great clutches. i have a spec clutch myself and the pedal response is nice. its not heavy at all. exedy clutches should be good too. a lot of people and drifters in japan use them. try it out and lte us know. :)

hehe i love statements like this. I can just see some japanese foo stand up and respond to this message by saying:
"hello, i am japanese, live in japan, and am a drifter. i chose exedy and highly recommend them."

Benson (Sileighty Mania) uses the Exedy clutch. He has used it at the track and has nothing but good things to say bout it. Seems to hold up quite well.

Exedy is Daiken, They have a long history making excellent high performance clutchs as well as OEM and OEM replacement . They are one of the much larger clutch manufacturers in the world today and you will find their clutchs in stock Japanese cars and yes folks stock American cars!!!
Their high performance line is nothing to sneeze at they supply to Nismo, they supply to Centerforce, Clutchmasters and a few other high end clutch companies.
Specs are good( kevlar driven disc) but I would not compare a Spec to Exedy . Exedy race clutchs are the real deal multi disc and plate clutches.
ACT is a company that buys their pressure plates from another manufacturer( might even possibly be Exedy/Daiken) and puts high performance driven discs with them.
For most street use a lot of people get away with running the ACT. Which has its proponents and its haters, and the Spec, a relatively new to our cars clutch.
The Spec is not bad. I think though If you do a lot of serious track time your going to want a beefier clutch though . IMHO

i heard stock oem clutches are made by daiken. if i can get a stock clutch for cheaper, should i go with that or pay $20 more for a exedy organic?
