Hey guys whats up. Cullen just finished the first step in the Garageworks 250SX swap.
The motor is in, mounts are made. He just has to put the intake and exhaust manifolds on, and wire her up. Still dont know what's gonna happen for speed sensor.....
O yea the FMIC is mounted also.....
and on a final note....the how to Crip walk Option Magazine style is on the G-works site....... www.garageworksltd.com

Both are not hooked up yet.....But they are on the list of MUST be done.
The pic is just to see how the motor would fit. You'll be surprised to see what he did for mounts....somewhat simple idea but It'll definitely do the job. (involves nismo mounts). Rt now the motor is a tad bit lower than he wanted and the oilpan needs a bit more clearance, will be fixed monday.
I'm sure he'll chime in soon....his username on Zilvia is Curbsurfer

hows the weight?

The motor was just test fit today....It should be running in the near future depending on how busy he gets.
I measured it and it is about as tall as an SR but and about 3 inches longer. The tranny sits closer to the climate control about 1-2 inches and a hole had to be made closer.
It's going to be heavier and the weight balance of the car will be a little off. It also helps that the motor is mounted LOW in the engine bay, lots of hood clearance and good for center of gravity.
This car is going to be his "mess around" car. He said he'll be satisfied w/ about 320whp for now.
Wiring is going to be a nightmare....but he's done wiring on Supra's before, and he knows 240 wiring....he'll make something work.

haha...that's a buncha boosheet, man. Like I said, the 2JZ would've been better in there. Just to test it out you know. To see how much the chassis would twist. I guess the 1JZ will do, but 320hp will not. Something like 500 hp will tho. Or the chance to drive it to get groceries will also make me happy.
