I've got an S15 motor in my '95 and the time's coming quickly for a FMIC. My question is if I buy a S15 intercooler kit from Blitz or HKS or whatever, is it going to fit into my engine bay and all that the way it's supposed to? From the looks of it, I might have to move my battery so the piping can get through there, but I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure.

Just to give you some more options...You might want to check out these intercoolers (http://www.bellintercoolers.com). Cheap intercooler cores if you're low on money from buying an S15 SR.

Thanks, I think I actually know someone with a 700+ hp mustang that uses one of those cores, but I'm not quite sure.

you can also try turbo xs or turbonetics custom intercoolers. they should cost less than those jdm bling brands and the quality is pretty nice.. the s15 kits, the pipings are most likely routed for an s15.

damn gleb, you dont need no stinkin front mount

you need coilovers! hahahaha :P

anyways ya.. i dont think it'd work. you'll prolly end up needing custom piping.

im no expect but thats my best guess.

TRUST SPL... ;)

S14 I/C kit will work with little to no mod's.

You can have phase2 order the Apexi FMIC kit, it lets you retain a full size battery.

Go ahead and put the battery in the back. All that turbo hardware's sure to offset whatever small amount of weight loss the front end got from the motor swap.

If nothing else it'll clean up the engine bay more. :)

u can always just buy a core and endtanks and get custom piping. i plan to do that since i need to retain my battery in its place cuz i got HID wires hookedup to it

There's already a battery in the back. Well, not in the very back, cuz there's a custom audio install in the trunk so there's no room. But my Yellow Top is hiding behind my rear seat back. I guess I could have two batteries right next to eachother back there, but I'd much rather have it under the hood where it belongs.

if ur gonna use the blitz LM s14/s15 kit, u can do what i did.

after cutting the large hole required for the FMIC piping in my battery tray. i:

1. buy an hawker oddesey PC680 or 725 (turn it on its side) or SVR similar sized model.

2. use the battery bracket included in the kit and cut and weld it so it fits the new battery. Or if ur lazy find a piece of sheet metal and drill it to be new bracket. drill 2 new holes in the battery tray for the new bracket.

3. Remove my window water washer bottle - and replace with an S13's bottle then swap motors so it plugs in perfectly.

4. hook up the battery and used the blitz kits extended wires to reach over to my contacts.

done. yay battery power!
