Super wierd starter problem

i just got done doing an sr swap for my buddy and the harness is all connected ready to go..and the car is ready to turn on so i finish up the battery relocation and as soon as i touch the terminals to the battery...the starter makes a click noise...then it just clicks and clicks and clicks so i take the battery terminals off...i took starter to discount auto parts to get tested and its ok..what is going on..the key is not even in the ignition and its clicking....i dont know what to do but i need help asap..

s13 blacktop into s14....has a premade wiring specialties harness..very clean swap

only wires on the starter is a big power wire and the case ground..

Are you sure it's the starter not a relay? And is the battery fully charged, sometimes weird things like this happen with a partially charged battery
