Finally finished my project, I have one other car to finish which is my rb25 S13 before I ship out in March. Not in a huge rush to sell this as I really enjoy it now with the new suspension and now that I have gotten all the kinks worked out of it. I bought this car in June of last year, pulled it out of someone's garage after they had it listed on craigslist for a few weeks. Previous owner had it stored away for over ten years after the L6 had blew a head gasket. He never got around to fixing it so I bought it as is. Decided to have the engine swapped to a ka24, lighter, parts are readily available, reliability you all know the perks, not to mention they're a dime a dozen on craigslist. I saved some of my best parts for this build, the IMSA wing, Fender flares, JDM fender mirrors, Vintage Recaro seats, lighter 240Z hood and hatch, a clean set of 240Z bumpers, and spent countless hours on things like polishing the valve cover, fitting the 240sx dash, wrapping it, new breaks, struts, springs, wheel bearings, and body work. Motor was swapped by a professional mechanic in town, he completely tore down and rebuilt my rb25 and made the solid mounts for that in my s13, he is the go-to Nissan guy in Daytona. Here's a more complete list of parts:
*Custom motor and transmission mounts (Copied from McKinnely)
*New OEM fuel pump, dropped and cleaned the tank, new fuel lines.
*Hand made plug and play harness for 240sx gauges in lightweight dash. (I can pop this out in five minutes and it probably weighs less than an aluminum dash, its like 6 pounds)
*BMW Titanium Silver paint #354 even though it was painted less than 4 months ago, it was done rather quickly I'd rate the paint at a 7/10 still needs to be buffed.
*New seals all around, Black Dragon Automotive Windshield and hatch seal. Kia Sportage door seals.
*240Z bumpers, ZCC Conversion brackets.
*280z Air dam and grill, MSA fender flares riveted on, JDM chrome fender mirrors.
*240z hood, hatch, fender emblems, mint steering wheel
*Vintage Recaro race seats.
*Polished Ka24 valve cover
*Header and 2.5" exhaust.
*Minimal rust, a few pinholes in the frame, battery area solid, mild size hole patched on passenger floor, and a couple not really very noticeable spots under the hatch.
*New Eibach lowering springs, front struts.
*BTW I was going to put on Sportmax wheels, but they look goofy because the tires are stretched, and with the new springs the car sits up alot higher(thanks to the KA) To look right they would need bigger tires to fill out the wheel well more, I will sell them with the car for what I paid for them which is 400 bucks. With the right tire combination they really finish this car nicely, matching the chrome mirrors and valve cover.
