Well, assuming you DO have all the nuts and bolts off, you are probably getting hung up on some coolant/vacuum lines or something. It has been a VERY long time since I have taken apart a s13 sr, so my memory is somewhat, if it was a s14 sr I could help you a lot more, lol Just take a look around from all angles possible and use a flash light to take a good look everywhere.

ive been looking for ever already now and felt around every runner for a connected hose and nothing!!other then the 2 nuts and 3 bolts on the bottom half, 2 nuts and 6 bolts on top,and the bolt holding that vaccum hose connected to the intercooler what other nut/bolt is there?

I had problems with mine also, but the upper manifold will not come off unless you undo the lower manifold also, they come out at the same time, they are put in at an angle so just undo all the bolts for the lower and it should come off with a little wiggling.

maybe the previous owner used some silicone for a gasket (seen it happen) and it's just hard to take off. But first, steal your sister/mom/gf's make up mirror and run your hand through the top/bottom and look for bolts
