VV is victorville i assume and AV is the antelope valley aka lancaster, palmdale, quartz hill, rosamond ect. which is fairly close to mojave. not much stuff in mojave. there is the dry lake bed el mirage which is cool and you can top out your car if you want. willow springs like they said is only about 30 minutes south of mojave. red rock caynon is an awsome camp ground if you like camping. i would invest in an offroad vehicle cause there are so many trails close to mojave that are really fun. there is practically no car scene. no shops except garage works in lancaster. (45 minutes south) its a small place with not so many people. im surprised there is even a ford dealership in mojave. haha. other than that get some ammo for your gun cuz you are going to be so bored target practice will be your new hobby. welcome to redneck-ville california.:coold:

I am one, hence knowing how military act who aren't considerate
I just tend to steer clear due to the large number of drunken stupor idiots in the military off duty.

At first, I was offended. Then I thought about it for a second and yes, the military folk are retards off duty. So I agree lol.
Stay clear of the desert areas bro. I'm originally from Detroit, joined the Marines and went to 29 Palms. At first, I was like YES CALI! And then they dropped me off in the middle of hell. I just got back from Afghanistan and I enjoyed it there more than 29 Palms.
Thankfully, I knew the monitor for my MOS and he got me stationed right in SoCal on Camp Pendleton. I absolutely love it here.

VV = Victorville
AV = Apple Valley
Watch what you try and squeeze, you may ' Squeeze ' yourself out of a job.. The Civil service jobs ( which is what I am assuming is WHY you are looking to relocate ) have just taken a massive hit on pay increase's/Relocation pay/upgrade of nego in pay or rates..
They will choose someone who will take less..
Reason I know this.. I am a Civil Service Career Employee.. I just passed over someone for doing the same thing and hired someone who didn't ' Squeeze ' for more then what was worth it.
Not saying this in anyway rude or malice. Just saying its what it is.. and they have cut funding pretty bad.. No Raises or locality increase... Only allowed your basic step increase pre union contract. So for a stable career I would just accpet the piece you are offered and move up to higher levels when the EOY Budgets increase.
Just FYI
military idiots...lmfao! what do u have against the service men/women of this country?
I think you need to watch what you say and realize, by searching this person, before making a retarded assumption. He was/is a service member.

its a contracting job for a newly opening PDM service center. im using it as a stepping stone to an ARTS position. hopping back in the reserves when i get there tool.
if i can maintain 28-30 an hour which this job is advertising, hten ill be fine. id just really like a relocation offset. i have the resume to ask for it, but we will see what happens

Mojave is CA's version of buttfuck Egypt. There ain't shit there but desert, freeway, and Edwards AFB.
I would NEVER live there. You'd catch me in Barstow first and after living there for 2 years I wouldn't recommend that place either.

I live in Lancaster about 20 min out from Mohave in the av. That's where the car scene n civilization is. And about an 1.5 or less dependeing on traffic past us is the coast( Santa Monica, Venice, or Hollywood n places like that). Sure Mohave is a shithole but it's cheap n it sounds like ud make hella good money. Anyways GL man n if u move out here hit me up n we could cruise to all the spots n I'll show u whatsup

It looks like Bakersfield is the closest that already has a listing.
I would have thought the High Desert as a whole would have had one. :/
EDIT
You could call up Edwards AFB and ask if they keep listings for or know where to find listings for Mojave.
