I'm gonna assume you're KA24DE, I dunno if E's are the same or not.
go from underneath, the engine mount gets in the way, and you have to twist your arm around but that's about all u can hope for.

For more specifics, please search, I know this has been talked abuot more than a few times... I know cuz I posted a thread about it when I changed mine.

Here are a few links to get u started:

1. Definitely work from the bottom using jackstands (if you dont have access to a shop's hydraulic jack).
2. Make sure the negative cable is disconnected from your battery and safely positioned away from the positive end. Don't wanna get electrocuted now.
3. Unplug all wires connecting to the starter, but dont forget what goes where (label with tape if you have to)
4. Youre gonna need a small rachet wrench and the bolts are pretty obscure, but possible and barely accessible. Just gotta stretch a little. Forgot the size though (14mm? 17mm?). Just be prepared.

Good luck with the replacement, it really isnt a difficult task. Definitely a do-it-yourself bolt-on thing.

I replaced mine a couple weeks ago from up top w/no problems...used a 1/2 rachet to break them, then a 1/4 to rachet 'em out. And I believe it's 14mm socket.
