I'm pondering the thought of taking the signal from the GM 3bar map sensor that came with my Autometer boost gauge (nexus series) and splicing to where z32 maf should go. Now the question is, will the ecu be able to read the signal from the map sensor and think its the maf? Does the tuned ecu need to see the maf specifically in order to get the right signal? I hate having the maf and apex filter cover up my big shiny turbo. Is this procedure possible and have any tuners out there tried adapting this to a IKA24de turbo setup?
Are stock chipped ecu able to run a map sensor?

This will not work. The systems are completely different. HKS had something that basically did what you're asking and it was called the VPC. If you look up a HKS VPC you'll see that they aren't cheap.

thanks for the info. So a apexisafc would be more up my alley or is it?

A rom tune is what you're looking for, or piggy back, or a standalone.

i think that if you don't want to have the maf and intake covering you turbo you can do blow-thru ,that involves putting your maf inbetwen your IC piping ,BUT you should atleast put a filter on the turbo's inlet or all the dirt will end up on your engine...and take it of to show-off with your friends or something

I'm currently running an emance unit 850cc,z32maf setup with a gtk 650(gt35-37) What maf can I use for blow through without risking popping a plasic maf I thought about using a z33 maf sensor and welding in the sensor adapter onto the pipe on the cold side in case it were to snap inside and not flow into the motor. has anyone tuned a z33 maf to ka24de turbo setup?
My set up runs fine now just want to refine it with out having to go stand alone. Can I use apex afc to fine tune an emance unit?
