I have a set of blue M12xP1.25's and P1.5's, as well as a set of red M12xP1.25 & 1.5's.

how does the lock work? i mean cant you still use a regular socket to take it out or am i missing something.

^^^ Yea same question, it's just a cut in the lug that's all it looks like u can still use a regular socket n get em off.

they are locking lugs because they are 'misshapen', the sides of the hex are different lengths.

The locks are 7 sided and each side has a different length making it difficult to just simply jam a socket in there.
