Tim was a good friend to many, and an asshole to the rest. He didn't tolerate morons, ricers, idiots. He was a mechanic by trade, loved cats, fishing, and liked driving his car. It's comments like that that restore my faith in these forums. I'm glad I've got a good core group of car guys that I can rely on in any facet of life; from cars and chicks, to family and support. I obviously don't know Tim or you Taylor, but I saw how Vassalo and Olsen responded via facebook about the ordeal, and it really made me happy to see a bunch of good guys come together to carry out their friends wishes/legacy.

I know my buddys are the same way... I could only HOPE my 240 is either crushed or owned by my brothers if I were to pass...I couldnt' stand to let someone else own it...and my good friends (with their equal hours involved in my car) would understand, and not want it either.

i lost a friend in an accident a little over a year ago. his integra gsr was in bad shape becuase of the crash but couldve been rebuilt after we noticed people had been stealing parts off of it. we contacted the family and made the descision of crushing it also. so along the same lines as just said before, when a warrior is killed, his horse too. ya his intagra wasnt this clean at all but it was still his life and he spent so much time on it. i love this thread becuase it deffinitly hits home. loosing a best friend was one of the worst experiences in my life. to this day memories still put a smile on my face. and no matter what i think you guys did an awesome thing crushing his car. who knows where the car couldve gone. now no one has to worry about that. its safe with him. may both ride on forever.

It's comments like that that restore my faith in these forums. I'm glad I've got a good core group of car guys that I can rely on in any facet of life; from cars and chicks, to family and support. I obviously don't know Tim or you Taylor, but I saw how Vassalo and Olsen responded via facebook about the ordeal, and it really made me happy to see a bunch of good guys come together to carry out their friends wishes/legacy.

What really bothers me is that the attention is given to the car being crushed, when a person has passed away. From what I read he seemed to be a really chill guy.

Seriously, if you feel that the car was crushed in vain, then you should really pull your heads outta your asses and start your campaign to end D1, Formula Drift, and everything else of the Fast and Furious nature, because all of the above mentioned is responsible for thousands of S-chassis cars being ruined in vain when only one was crushed in honor of a fallen comrade.

I had a really good friend pass away last May due to a horrible car accident on the freeway, he was a great friend first, and a fellow car enthusiast second.

Props to Tim for asking this to be done, if/when I pass, I want any of my vehicles that are a burden to be immideately destroyed in the most epically possible way!

I tried to read the entire thread but only got to page 3 before I kinda got sick of all the dumb comments. How many of us put so much hard work into a car and eventually sold it? Moved on to bigger and better things, right? I'm sure only a few of us have the first 240 we ever owned. Hell, I've been through 4 and I'm sure some of you easily have me beat. Thing is, even if you sold your s13 to buy an s14 (or whatever) cause you wanted what you thought was "better" I bet it'd still hurt to see all your hard work in the hands of some kid who beat it half to hell. lol, at first I was gonna say buy him a beer, but they don't serve beer in hell... I am not against the decision at all, but I bet there would be no thread if his friends dishonored his decision though, which should cause more upset imo.
