1990 240sx Hatch Base Model (lightest of the hatches, no power options and no sun roof)
Want $4000 OBO. ALL OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
Engine swapped to a 1996 Ka24de by previous owner. He told me he had rebuilt it with intentions of going turbo but before he got everything he needed to boost it he bought an sr swapped car and never looked back. So from what I gathered he tore it down, cleaned it up, and replaced all the seals but instead of going with lower compression he rebuild it with stock pistons and such. Only thing he changed was he put in s13 cams instead of s14. Car is using full s13 ka engine harness.
5-Speed
Tastefully modified
Rust Free
Has the 91+ front bumper (sorry no pig nose)
Currently painted flat black, also done by previous owner
Car runs great. I have babied it since I've had it. I've only driven it maybe 2000 miles in the few years I've had it.
All fluids will be changed in it the next time I'm home (in 2 weeks after finals). Unless some one is interested in purchasing in which case I'll wait and do it after the car is bought just to show that everything is mechanically sound, ie. no shavings in the oil or pan, tranny shifts fine, etc etc
Car does not have a/c, however when I bought it I was given a good compressor to put on if I wanted a/c back and was told everything else that was needed was still there. I'm not %100 percent sure of that as I have not tried to reinstall it my self and really had no intention too.
Heat works great and the fans still blow hard.
Has an immaculate and full interior (somewhat rare these days) including a hatch privacy cover. Only flaw is the all too common hole that wears into the side of the drivers seat.
Super reliable. I've never had a problem being ready to go out and cruise around when I wanted it too. Starts right up. Runs smooth and idles great. Has plenty of power.
Also have spares that can come with the car such as another spare KA(s13), tires, wheels, and some of the stock parts.
Ok on to the mods:
-Has some sort of polished intake (not sure of brand was there when I bought it)
-Has KYB struts and some sort of lowering springs (also not sure of brand was one there by previous owner)(also have stock springs and struts in great condition to go with the car)
-Nismo 2-way lsd. (I had this installed by The ShowZone in Charleston, it was properly broken in there by myself and the under advice of Sk8, the owner of the shop and also the person who installed it)
-Nismo Power Brace, braces the front tension rod braces together and greatly improves handling and steering (Installed this myself) (also have stock tension rod braces)
-Nismo white Resin shift nob, doesn't get hot in the sun and burn your hand (have stock shift nob as well)
-Hiro mesh wheels 16X8 +20 all around with 215/45 Federal 535's all around, great for being able to rotate the tires. These wheels fit the stock s13 body perfectly and requires no fender rolling or pulling. These are rare wheels and I spent forever looking for a set in this good of condition. You won't find another like these here in the US. Similar to SSR Reverse Mesh, but Hiro Wheels were designed with racing in mind and were not marketed to the average person quite as much as the SSR's.
-Also comes with a set of stock steelies and hub caps. And a set of Sentra Se-R wheels with faded pink spray paint but the tires are practically brand new Falken Ze-912's (maybe 200 miles on them, bought the tires and a month later found the Hiro's)
-May be others I cant think of off the top of my head
Cliff notes:
Good:
s14 Ka w/ s13 cams that was re freshened by the P.O.
Runs great and is reliable
Awesomely clean interior
tastefully modified
Very straight chassis (no rust, no signs of a wreck)
Base Model =Light weight chassis if you're looking to strip it and build a drift car
Spare KA that's in pieces can come with it if desired. Tore it down to rebuild and sell or possibly turbo the car.
The bad:
No a/c
Spray painted flat black outside and red in the engine bay (will be working on removing the red in the bay)
And me having no time to spend with it and no place to keep it while at college.
Also: The car is now paint matched in the area that is white in the pictures.
