Ghetto Intake Idea

Has this been done?
Ok, everyone takes the resonator box off, but what if i go a step further?  
I removed the box then removed the miserable air scoop that sucks in nothing but your hood.  Then i rotated the little Y piece and ran the scoop from behind the foglight to the Y.   It fits beautifully and now seems like a dead on target for air coming through the foglight airdams.

What does everyone think of my ghetto *free*  intake at least until I get my real one.  (maybe 2 months.)

Naw, i think his idea is good. It won't hurt anything, and it might be fun to mess around with it.

No, no, I was there.  He has a filter and it is a K&N filter in the stock airbox... so its not like hes goin filterless...
It has the same sound as my Injen intake.. and its really a cool free mod...
