I purchased a Z32 MC from a salvage yard and found that the flare fitting was not in the middle hole when I removed the plug (seems to be pretty common). I cut my stock mc open to get the fitting and found out the outer hole on the fitting was smaller then the ones already in the Z mc. Also it does not "stick" into the Z32 mc, it seems smaller then the opening on the Z mc so it just falls out. Has anyone else had these problems before?

I guess you were using the importnut 300zx swap guide?
What size MC is it?

Yep I used that one I believe. The size is not stamped onto mc so I don't know what it is. It was noticably larger then the one I took off of the car. I think its the 17/16th but I can't be positive. It came from a 90 NA Z32 but I don't think its a Nissan oem piece. It has the letters SS (brand?),then USA, then a part number, then a date stamped thats xx-xx-1997 (its not in front of me now).

so maybe its aftermarket, and upgraded? that could explain the incompatability..
sorry I'm no help. I'm doing this swap soon, but haven't done it yet.
All the Nissan units I've seen have the size stamped on them like: "1" or "1 1/16", etc..

When i got my Z32 MC, it was freshly rebuilt and it had the flare fitting inside there.. all I had to do was plug it in baby.

where did you get yours? I was thinking about just buying a 1" reman unit from advaned auto ( i get an employee discount.. roommate's dad).
They sell for ~$120 with resevoir.

I paid $70 with reservior from a junkyard for mine. Works well, it was an OEM Nissan unit. Had the weird safety hex blockoff screw in one of the hardline ports, but the insert worked okay.
Try a junkyard and ask them if they've got any sort of return policy. Tell em if it's not the right piece you'll just ship it back for a return or something.
edit: OEM will have a part number and "NISSAN JAPAN" on the driver's side of the cylinder under the sensor connector.

I paid about that for mine, maybe 110. There were MC's for lesser price, but I didnt want that shiet. I took a look at the build quality, and easily saw the differences. I dont risk my brakes for a few bucks, nor do i put junkyard quality MC's on my car.
