has video, pics, and small write up. click top half of the events picture thing.

it was pretty good. a lot more organized than past events, but still had delays throughout the night. what i really like is that they gated off the pit area this time, and really managed the crowd well. there was also free food/drinks in the pit area, good times.

some notables:
-Billys sparkly pink coupe.
-RB25 240 crash a lot.
-i heard the girl drifter fell out the window of the orange car, when sitting on the sill part.
-orange car broke down a lot, and it was the street car.
-matto (808Supra) did a great job, untill i rode with him and he spun out at turn 1 while going up against Justin "The Ruckus" Kikawa. i blame myself.:(
-Pedro wins it all, showcasing his excellent tire burninating skills.

probably more i cant think of right now. overall nice event. much better organized and executed than the last signal event.

Word to the not so wise: Do not qualify for an event with a KA motor then swap in an RB25 for the actual event. That's just not smart thinking.

Event was good fun. I was charging as hard as I possibly could and was going much faster than I usually do, but this was mostly due to the fact that I was running brand new ZR tires, which in hind site, was a very poor choice for my underpowered car. I was comming into turn 1 in 4th gear (around 80mph), which made my long slides look good and were amazingly controlable compared to how they usually are, but made my all around style very poor. I found I also couldnt choku dori for shiz. When I tried, the car let loose, but when it came back it would grip so hard and I wasnt ready for it, sending me into the guard rails. No biggie though, Just new fenders and bumper.

I guess I got the unlucky draw (or lucky draw??) of running against Justin in the first round. Then I made the poor choice of going from my ZR tires to some any old street tires. I knew that the only way I could beat Justin was to do the long slides (since it seems that no one else can do them as long as me?? No idea why, even though Justin and Stan guys are far above my level), but I also knew that I had to run the whole course well too, hence the tire choice. When I came into turn 1 I didnt take into account the much looser tires and tried to hold a long 80mph slide again, but the tires were in no way ready for that, so I spun (2nd time of the night). I tried to make up for it on the other turns, but I couldnt. Oh well, being beaten by one of the best is fine by me.

I actually thought the event "qualifying rounds" were very poor. It was just luck of the draw, not your skill. I mean, Im not that great, but I think I'm a bit better than some guys who made it further than me, due to the fact that they ran against guys who either were not so good, or spun alot. You also only got ONE lap, you didnt even get a chance to warm up your tires. OH well, live and learn.

Either way, this event showed you what power/new car can do. Last time, I advanced further than Pedro, this time, he took first place. Guess the power can really show you your potential. Go Pedro!

Heres a few pics I grabbed (not many):

Well man, I'll get my chance to run against you again in two weeks. Hopefully by then I'll be able to keep up. And I'll have to agree, people who would not normally make it past the first round made it because of who they were paired up with.
