Mods: I removed the cross bars from the roof rack for mad aerodynamics; took the headrests off the rear seats for rearward visibility so I can see who I SmOkEd, yO (and keep an eye on the groceries); and I added a big fat parking permit decal on the rear window, which adds 5hp because it's orange.

Previously owned a bunch more economy cars with sporting pretensions. I sorta miss the Neon because it got airborne real good.

Dean Jefferies Automotive Styling Kyote 1 fiberglass dune buggy on shortened '63 VW beetle frame.

The body is in pristine condition for a buggy its age, It still has the original metal flake gel coat over the fiberglass. It is also a fairly rare kit, not like many of the Manx copies you see around.

yeah, positive rear camber, its the new GDM (German Domestic Market) trend, everyone will be doing it in a month or so. hahaha

The old VW's has a swing axle in back, so that when you jack up the car, both rear axles droop down and just kind of hang there. You have to drive around for a while till the get back to their orig 0 camber. Thats the major reason why I wouldn't trust that car at autoX, well that and the brakes.

It's actually my dad's car but I drive it in the summer. In the winter I drive a '91 Nissan Pickup.. rear wheel drive, four cylinder (KA24E baby! :D ) which is also my dad's. I'm currently waiting for the right 240SX to buy a car of my own. I drive the MR-2 now so I'm not in any big rush. I'm only 17 so I'm pretty lucky I guess. Next year I'll be autocrossing the MR-2 in E-Stock, couldn't this year cause you've got to be 18. :rolleyes: Hoping to buy a 240 before next fall so I can have a car when I leave for college.

Thanks. Kidding aside, I love it. It's the perfect daily driver - lots of room, good stereo, great economy, enough power to pass/merge/jump in front at a light, and the handling is amazing. And to top it off, it is a great looking car.

I'm 27 and got the 240 as a 2 year old lot anchor - they didn't sell well in New England apparently . I've only put 18k on it so it's prolly one of the lower mileage 240's , even though it was my *daily driver* until I got the Benz . I'd kept it all stock ( cheap rims with Yoko V4's don't count ) but want to budget about $5k to make it more better over the winter - though I said that last year :hammer:

Here is what I've seen lately: i've seen a bunch of lamely fixed up janky s13's in the SoCal area. "Why S13's," you ask.. and "why are they janky?" you wonder -- I will tell you why. People are buying S13's because S14's still cost more.. and the bottom line is, these trendy bastards are still broke, so they get entry level, thats all they can afford. Why are they janky? Because unfortunately all the parts these morons have ACCESS to, is your typical N1-style muffler of choice, which of course doesnt take much work to acquire. The skill level of installing a muffler has not varied from Accord to S13, so why not slap it on yo, it looks phat.

Thats it, thats ALL I see in the SoCal area.. stupid S13's with big rambling exhausts.. that do nothing. If you're fortunate, you get to see a really wacked out SR20 conversion.. which of course, those dont last long either because most people dont know how to drive, spin into a wall, and goodbye s13.

But thats not the worst part. Out here in SoCal, we are blessed with HotImportNightsDaysFastFuriousCrap, where people buy S13's ONLY to fix them up with parts that LOOK nice. So, you'll see a really flashy paint job, mandatory SR20 swap, and lets not forget.. front-wheel drive wheels that are the wrong size and offset. The car may LOOK good, at night, but of course it performs like dog shiet and only, I mean ONLY, looks good at night. The owner if this SHOW car may occasionally drive his car, and MAY even attempt to come to a SoCal 240SX meet.. where he will be booed and ridiculed by enthusiasts who tell him "nice honda offset on the wheels bro" -- however, he is too lame to catch the sarcasm and says "thanks yo."

Why, I ask.. why are FWD car owners stepping into the RWD arena.. where were they 10 years back when ALL I heard was "FWD is the bomb, easier to work on, much better design." I am not actually arguing, I think it comes down to personal perference. But, if FWD was so good, then why all of a sudden, are people switching to RWD? I KNOW its not because of drifting, because all I heard back then was "drifting is just for show." All of a sudden, the combination of grip and drift becomes an artform that many are trying to master.. and of course, mainly with RWD cars.

Then we have DRIFT magazine, where they talk about "can you drift a FWD car." The only RIGHT answer is "NO," I dont give a crap about all the wordplay they did in that damn article. If you're using the e-brake or dragging your a/ss, it doesnt count. "Well technically if the suspension is stiff" blah blah that doesnt count, dont give me that crap.

We need more shotguns, we need more gernades. Someone put an end to this DAMN trend. Damn hypocrites.. all I need now are people to say that the KA is an awesome motor, and I'll seriously hang myself.. because no one came close to saying that years ago. Then 300+ HP KA's started floating around...

Thanks!:bow: Yup, stock lip with some side skirts and a rear bumper. I am pleased with how the car looks, it really shifts colors depending on the light. In the sig pic it looks orange, but that only happens under direct light, other times it is a blood red.

Everyone has their own style of modding cars and have different choices of the cars that they choose to modify. got alot of cars lol just so u know the reason i got a 240 basically was so i could have a fun car to drive soon my z project was getting to be too exspensive and i wanted something within a few months but they way i look at it is when i get beat in my 240sx all i have to do is find the guy in about 2 years and ill roast his @$$ in the z...
