I plan to compete next year in a few XDC events and some local grassroots events. My main question is that I have two MOMO FIA certified seats that are expired. I was talking to a good friend of mine and he said that if I made a bracket from my roll cage to the back of the seat and bolt the seat to the bracket that it would pass tech. Im not to sure about this and would like to know the right answere. Also since my seats are expired can I have them inspected and re-certified?

Here's the XDC rulebook from 2010: http://www.daftinnovations.com/2010-XDC-Rulebook%20v1.1r.pdf
The section on seating is a bit vague, but I'd suggest getting a new seat, and then pulling your passenger seat out for the event.

Yeah, I heard they are really strict on the tags for seats/harness/suit and helmets.
Those seat back braces I think usually work for local NASA/SCCA tech inspections.

yea, i'd just play it safe and get a new fia seat for the drivers side and pull the passenger side out at xdc events.
