Winterizing you Sr20 Help

Well since im a broke college student i dont have the extra cash to buy a wintermobile. So i have to drive my 89 fastback with s13 sr swap all year round. Any tips or info on keeping the sr running strong through the winter? ie. oil,plugs,trans fluid etc. Thanks

Think of it this way.

Does it get cold in Japan??

The SR was designed with very cold ambient temperatures in mind.
Keep up on regular maintained, when its really cold allow the motor to warm up a little before you drive. This is with any motor, really.

Engine should be fine, maybe a thinner viscosity oil thats about it. But vlsd, 2 way, welded diff and snow tires are a definate must.

I somehow made it through 2 winters with my s14 as a daily. T28 sr and a kaaz 2 way made snow pretty scary haha. Just requires a lot of careful driving. And most importantly self control to not be tempted to drive sideways everywhere lol.

I've run mine 5 years in the winter with just normal up-keep. Gets pretty cold/snowy here in southern Pennsylvania.

My car is my daily too, getting ready to switch to a thinner oil for winter.
