I have Google'd 2011 Formula Drift Pro-Am Rules in all the possible configuration I can think of. I would guess 2011 Formula Drift Pro rules would work as well. So if someone knows a website like SCCA's online rule book that would be great. The best I have found is a rulebook someone is regurg-posting on a Cali based forum...Don't fully trust it...Looking for something a little more official.

I would appreciate any leads.

They don't just hand out rulebooks.

Best bet is to talk to Tony A. if you know anyone on ZT.

Maybe you should contact the organization hosting the pro am. And find out what rules you need to be aware of. Its usually the typical cage specs, helmuts right, bucket seat is good...no wires and shit.

just contact the organization you plan on competing in.

The Pro series is very different from the Pro-Am rules. Most of the times Pro-Am is alot less strick then the Pro rule book.

I actually have the 09 Pro-Am rule book saved on me so post up your email if you need it.

Although not a lot might have changed, it is better to get the current rulebook. Contact Tony A. at Formula D to be sure.
A mis communication can cost you big time trust me I know.

I emailed the Tech people of Formula Drift. I unfortunately don't know anyone on ZT, but I had read Tony Angelo was the new Tech Manager.

That is all they have up currently.

This is something I was not aware of. I will ask my client which region he will be competing.

Could not have said it better myself.

Here is the Link to the site to the guy posting segments of the supposed 2011 FD Rule book:

New Weight/Tire Size Regulations for Formula Drift 2011 - Socal-Drift (http://www.socal-drift.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4012)

Again highly suspect...but it is something at this point until Tony or Tech at FD gets back.

For all teams that didn't compete in the 2010 Formula D season the rules will be released 1-1-2011.

I see. Why is this so damn secretive? I am sure I could go find NASCAR's rules no prob.

Either way good info, Thanks

1-1-2011..?

Sounds fair and equal. As long as no team is getting a sneak peek at it....

The rules are out. Yes some major changes were made, but most are the same as last year.
Big changes are in the works for the Pro-Am series. Get in contact with your local promoter. They Should be able to give you all the info.

If your going to do it I recommend just doing it to FD spec from the start. Everything is pretty much the same as last year with only a few changes.

Here is some info about the 2011 SWD Pro AM format.
SWD Drifting « StreetWise Drift (http://www.streetwisedrift.com/?page_id=44)

I was told a few days ago by Andy Luk of FD that there will be no changes to the pro am rules from last year.
Yes ... Some of the Pro AM groups have their own interpertation of the FD Pro AM Rule book.
SWD does not differ from the FD rules as provided to us from FD.
IMO this is the best guideline to follow so your car is prepared for the transition to pro if you get a licence.

The "Big changes" That I was referring to did not refer to the rules per say, but like what you posted on your site...that they are not doing the Pro Am. Nationals next year. Andy also let me know that they are going to give out more licences for each series.
