CA18DET motorset. Built !

Hey, I'm selling my Ca18det, I don't have time to mess with it anymore. I originally purchased this motor set for 1299.00 from JHOT in Augusta,GA in 2006. I got the CA to be a little different then most 240sx owners. After doing much research I found that the Ca18 had a lot of potential, my plans changed ! I decided to build it for a 350 horsepower range. Over time i pulled the engine and rebuilt it with forged internals thanks to Southern Imports in Murfreesboro. I currently drive the car roughly two days a week, I just don't have time to finish it. As it sits it runs a tad bit rich due to the injectors and mafs. The motor has roughly 10k miles on the rebuild. All this motor needs is some tuning time! Ca's r so underated compared to sr's and ka-t! But my buddy has an s12 with a ca18et single cam with minor mods and it runs really hard. Glad to see one of these with some effort into it. GLWS sir I hope it finds a good home.

matbmorr, we can arrange something if you are interested in it. Im asking 2500 for the complete swap. I am motivated to sell the motor set so I may could do a little better, but at the same time there is no way someone could reproduce this setup for that amount. Thanks and let me know

there is no comparsion to a SOHC CA. There are some really built CAs, but people hold on to them because they are such solid motors. most are across the pond as they aren't as popular state side.

Selling my CA S13 is one mistake I will regret for sometime. GLWS, that is a hell of deal, I spent nearly that much on a stock one that I imported. Does the swap come w/ trans too?

Gabby I'm sure I will feel the same when I do sell it. I just don't see myself having time to enjoy it,much rather see it being put to use then sitting in my driveway.Yes, the transmission does come with it. Its basically a plug and play for any S13.
