Wiring issue, how to resolve

I just got done reassembling my 89 coupe w/s13 sr20 and now my running lights and dash lights are always illuminated. and the pop ups will not go down anymore.

how should i go about finding the short or whatever you might think is causing the issue?

Narrow down the circuit or circuits by pulling fuses, and or relays. Not the main fuse though!
After you find the culprit dig deeper into it with a multimeter.
