Nah, it's fast as it is you don't need a bigger turbo on it at all, honestly. This thing gets out of its own way plus some.

And I did this swap for 3 reasons.

1.) its lighter
2.) smaller motor, easier to work on and better fuel economy
3.)parts are tons cheaper, something breaks like a water pump, its change that'll pay for it not the bank.

Very cool swap, any idea how much the car weighs? With this you get overall light weight, much better weight distribution, great front suspension, bulletproof rear end, and the z32 simply looks better than any 240s.

I've seen so many KA-T setups blow within a week of getting finished. The VG is a pain in the ass, but exploding on the reg? Not quite.

This is an interesting swap though. I've seen SR's, never seen a KA in one though. Cheaper to maintain for a DD I'm sure, that must be nice.

Also, this motor reads 170 across the boards, the motor is great! no blownin' up and all i use is royal purple.

not a clue, But as facts go the vg weights about 150 more than a ka-t setup, and thats just the motors, the trans is also larger on the vg aswell. The front suspension should also be a tad lighter due to installing coils, removing the upper control arms, and all that good stuff

Likewise, I was considering this until I saw the under hood pics. I have a CLEAN 91 300ZX Twin Turbo and my motor hasn't blown up on stock internals and its on 370s/18psi. Too bad. I'd buy this car and restore it back to VG status by TT swapping it, throwing some nice coils and LMGT4s on it. Then it'd be a proper Z. I might just do that for the sake of the Z32 community.

my z dyno'd @ 387whp on stock turbos and internals. the internals on the VG are forged stock and can handle around the 700whp region.

It's cause the poor thing has been molested passed the point of recognition. The poor thing. Buy an S chassis and swap your silly KA-T into it and wrap it around a tree so someone with some taste can inherit the Z and turn it back into its rightful condition
