Truthfully it won't make any big of difference. I know it may not be needed, but I always put a very thin layer of Permetex copper RTV (gotta be copper) on these gaskets (and all exhaust gaskets) as a precautionary measure to prevent any little leaks.

The bigger thing to remember to use is new OEM hardware for the manifold to turbo studs and nuts. (Z32 works for these, and the gasket as well). Get new locking tabs (from that same Z32 turbo) as well, that will save you a ton of frustration from the bolts backing off as well.
