ok i have a 1988 silvia
when i got it, it had the base ac unit which i swapped for the digital climate control..
i had the same issue with the old ac control unit..

when everything is hooked up the blend door motor stays at hot.. my first though was that the blend door motor was bad, so i replaced it... right when i plugged it in, it went to the "hot" position..
no matter where i set the temperature the blend door motor stays in the same position.. everything else works as it should (the vent selector, the recirculate, the a/c button, and the fan speed)..
so ive replaced the blend door motor, the wiring harness, the DCC unit..

what could be causing this?
i even tried putting a new relay in also

You dont have the air sampler plugged in (center console, below radio), close to shifter.

That thing checks the current air temp and adjusts accordingly. When you dont have it plugged in it blasts full hot.

That's weird because on the new harness for the DCC it doesn't have a plug for that, and does that sensor matter when it's not in the auto mode?

Thanks!

yep you cant change it without that plugged in.

yep you cant change it without that plugged in.

So how does that work if there isn't a plug in the harness?

that's the cabin air temp sensor

if that plug is for the air temp sensor, then what plugs into the light sensor on the dash?
