Ok, I've got an 1992 S13 Coupe. I just replaced the Cylinder Head and Head Gasket. I've got everything back together except the dizzy. When I try to insert it, it stop. Then when I wiggle the rotor just a bit it clicks in just a tad bit further (about to the O-Ring). Well, thats not right lol. I need it all the way in :(
I tried turning the crank and as it turned the rotor it started to pull the dizzy in. I got it seat but could no longer turn it for timing adjustments. Then when I tried to remove the dizzy. IT WAS STUCK!!!! I had to break it just to remove it.
I get my new dizzy. Clean up the port for the dizzy, apply a lil coat of oil to both the port and to the dizzy. SAME DAMN THING!!!
I'm afraid its going to get stuck again and I cant afford another distributor. To make things worse this is my DD and I need this car running ASAP.... Ive checked all my work and everything seems fine.
**Heres a possible issue??
When I replaced the head I replaced it with a freshly rebuilt S14 (70f casting) head. Everything bolted together just fine (cept VC) dizzy is my only issue.
PLEASE HELP, I'M FREAKING OUT LOL
