got hit today

yeah...some dude decides to just pull out of a side street out of nowhere and smack my 95 zenki in the front end when it was my right of way. gotta replace my hood, bumper, driver's side headlight, and fender. turns out that it was a vehicle for my college, and the way they do it is they have an adjuster look at it and write me a check. i went to three places today just for an estimate, they told me total is around $2k to fix. if that is what the school's adjuster gives me, this has kouki conversion written all over it, assuming that its possible to do a kouki conversion with aftermarket bumper (ings or vertex) under $2k.

Damn, I woud think you'd get more than that. I got a basketball sized dent in the rear quarter of my last s13 and I got $1200. Sounds like you got more to replace than me, adjusters also told me I would also only get about $500. So maybe you'll be getting more than your kouki conversion?

count your blessings that you know who did it! I got the same damage (monetarily) and it was a hit and run... translation: I got raped. All better now, minus my $250 deductable out of my pocket, prolly was some :mrmeph: with no insurance anyhow... plus it was across the street from a pub at night, some drunk mofo prolly to boot.

Sorry to hear bout the damage man, but at least you'll get to do your conversion!
