here goes,

well i bought a new 240 back in june to replace the coupe i sold so i could afford school(yah i know) Anyways it's in mint shape except for the usual rusted through spots under the doors and by the back bumper and the.

Now i fixed the under door section on the drivers side, by fabbing up some peices, took forever and dind't fit perfect.

Now the delema is that i found a 90 hb identical to mine except the body is mint but the interior is toast for $400 cad. question to you is, is it worth it to spend $400 on a car just to cut the rocker and rear lower quarter panels off, or should i make the peices that i can and try to locate the others at a junk yard?

need advice

thanks

does the $400 car run. Even if it doesnt buy it anyway. $400 for a non rusted car is a good value. I think at least.

why not buy the car with the perfect body, and swap in the good interior?

I've never even seen a car with rust.....

Oh yeah that's because I live in california.

Buy the car and sell it for $1000

buy the cherry hatch and whatever you do do not chop it up. A clean 240 is a clean 240 interiors can be replaced. clean chassis's are getting harder to find all the time. I would transfer my parts over to it if I were you. Or else pick it up and turn it over to someone else who take care of it. $400 canadian is dirt cheap.

Save the 240's. Not made anymore. Make two cherry cars. Does not matter how long it takes.

I hope you can follow my reasoning...one day when you are old, their may not be any left..especially since these are performance cars and on this board alone, I see a few each month GONE>

I also think the 78-88 cutlass was a great car..they are becoming valuable now for mint ones.

They are like that times...57 chevy..

Most of the cutlasses got ghettoed...many of the 240's are being totalled.

Save a dear friend...even if it is just a bucket of bolts.

It gives us satisfaction :boink: :boink: :boink:
