Hey guys

Well I recently purchased a 1996 240sx zenkie. It has a kouki conversion done to the car. But car came with no turning signals on the jdm from bumper. So I was looking thru the wiring and found the plugs that fit my brand new turnin signals. So I plug them on and turn on the signals and they don't light up. Check if bolbs are there and there is. So question is if zenkies come with different wiring for lights?

I will really appreciate the help and advice thanks.

did you check all your fuses? are the wires the same colors as they are in the wiring diagram?

Oh ya I forgot to add on here the rear turning signals work. So it might be the wiring?

Bumping an old thread rather than making a new one.

I have run into this same issue with my 95 S14. The front is still zenki, but the same symptoms occur.

The signal switch works, the indicators on the dash flash, but only the rear turn signals flash.

For the hazards, the indicators on the dash flash, but only the rear turn signals flash.

When I turn on the headlights, the turn signal lights illuminate, so they DO work.

I've checked the fuses, they are all fine. Changed the signal relay as well. No luck

Anyone have any input on what might be wrong? I'm attempting to contact Fanguiano about how he solved it, but any other response is appreciated as well.

Thanks.

I realize this is an ancient question but I figure I'd answer it in case someone else find this thread. The connectors are different from USDM Zenki to JDM Kouki... IIRC the USDM turn signal connectors are the same as the JDM fog light connectors, and the USDM side markers are the same as the JDM turn signals.... so you kind of have to cut off the connectors and re-wire them in a round-robin.

is yours an SE or a base model?

is it possible that you jammed the fog light connectors into the back of the front turn signals? the connectors are the same except for a keyway, it is possible to shove them in there, or if someone was "too smart" they could have trimmed the key off the connector. If your fog light switch is "ON" and you're using the wrong connector it would cause your turn signals to turn on and off with your headlights.

Front and rear turn signals use the same base circuitry and main harness... this means that if your rears are working then you can rule out any problems with the turn signal stalk, hazard button, flasher unit, or fuses.

your problem is either the bulb, bad connector, or busted wire... or something clever like using the wrong connector.
