installed new springs...got a question

I have just installed Eibach springs on my 98 240. I got it realigned right after.On the drive home i noticed the front springs make a small thumping sound when i enter a speed bump or hit a pothole... what causes this sound? are the bump stops causing it?

If you installed them yourself, you might want to check if everything is torqued down properly.
