Picked this s13 up,tell me what you guys think

it has 102k original miles everything stock except exhaust and cdplayer. I think the exhaust is tsudo. The motor was resealed to prevent leaks and the headgasket,intake and exhaust gasket, thermo,pistons etc were replaced with new oem parts by shop. I had a shop down the street do check on the car and everything is ok before i purchased it. The guy i bought it from is also an ase tech mechanic.

i will agree with everyone. Ive seen clean hatch/coupes 5 speed/KADE for way less then $3000. But oh well youve already bought it so enjoy it. Next time do research on forums to see how much a certain car in certain conditions go for before purchasing. GL

edit: FYI I got my 92 coupe stock w/ everything working including cold ac for $700 and all it really needed was a good interior cleaning and a paint job.

oh fuck me, i forget to tell ya guys. I know the person and im getting it for 1500. Plus guys the only reason he jacked it to that price is because of the miles and the repairs. I mean think about this, even if it werent automatic you would probably say the same thing. I think this is better guys because of what happened last time.Plus it comes with a 5spd swap he just forgot to mention it in the ad.Remember guys, when you sell your cars to a dealership and they give you less what they want.They will turn around and sell the car for how much you want it. Like if your cars worth 5-7k and the dealer gives you 4500 for it, they will infact turn it around and sell it outright for 5-7k.So dont get the price here wrong now because thats how much a dealer was gunna get me for it but i know it will be over priced by them. Heres what im saying ill give you a link to an s14 5spd that was being sold by a dealer with 148k miles.Thats still alot of miles for a car to be sold for that price

lol boy are all you wrong thinking its bad,The car car comes with a 5spd swap, plus theres no rust on the car, i had 2 mechanics looked at it and its owned by a mechanic. His dad works at a dealer and sells cars, he knows its no junky. My rb20 s13 was junky,i regret that more than this. The rb fell apart in 2 days and never ran again and was sold for 1500 online and was told the motor and tranny was rebuild when the car doesnt run anymore. Its sold now, but i regret that more than this one.

I dont regret this at all when i have an sr after selling one of my cars sitting in my garage waiting to be dropped in. That was the purpose of me buying this car was to do the sr swap in it. I know plenty of 240 owners here who have probably done it.

Did i mention i bought it to drop my sr motor swap in it.

Why not a clean shell with good paint, no rust, and blown motor? Cheaper, and more practical.

I bought my s14 for around that price... And the OP is talking out of his ass. 5 speed swap. then sr swap. when will it end? Being an ASE mechanic doesn't really mean anything... You pass one of the tests and you're an ASE mechanic. It's different if you're a master tech or smog tech. You had to do work for those.

Short version: You have failed sir. Post pics if you feel it necessary to prove yourself.

I got this car and a couple SR swap essentials off craigslist for $900. There's no engine but the body is rather decent. This pic was taken back in May and it's all one color now with a legit paint job and body work. However, still a work in progress

so what if its over priced. Ive seen 5spds that have more than 160k miles for 3k.Thats over priced. I dont have 2 cars, only this one to do the sr swap. Im selling the 5spd and ka to invest in coilovers i found for 400. Second, who cares if it looks like it had more 100k miles. Second all the other s13s ive seen online that are more decent than this are 5spds with over 160k miles on it and either having mix match parts or primered with steelies.Atleast it is still one color and has ses on it. I can paint it and lower it so it will come out fine guys. Look at some of the s13s on 240sx forums, some here look close to this.
I mean look at thatguys coupe when it was painted krylon green or whatever color that is. Clean car but pos color,no offense that guy. What makes mine any different? I Just searched and found plenty of hatches and coupes that either have damage, bad paint job, mix match parts. I mean yea they all have swapped motors, but still that doesnt count for the body. If you all say it does i can tell straight up how zilvia is played out like how everyone who isnt a member says this site is.

I bought an auto because manuals arent really my thing. Im really going for just look not for drifting or anything. Thats basically how my s14 came out. I can drive manuals it just depends on what i want to do to the car. Since it came with the 5spd swap, im selling that since the sr has a 5spd tranny.

I know lots have started like this and worked their way up. Yall see in 2 weeks when im done painting the car up. The sr wont be in though unfortunately because im still deciding what color to paint the motor instead of having it look likes been sitting in the warehouse for days.

I dont give a damn if you think its a pos, most of the cars on here i think is pos even if they are painted,lowered swapped,etc. Most of yalls paint sucks fyi.

Thats what ive been telling them jontron, this is my work in progress s13. ADDING to my rb20 that i use to have. The guy said it was never abused well,if theres a tranny leak,grinding,clutch slipping then theres something wrong with the car. The motor had a bad coil pack in it. Im telling yall this now because noone asked how was it a bad car. If you think this s13 now is bad. I could have sworn my clown car rb20 s13 was worse. Better yet, the whole interior was falling about:no rear seats,carpet, dash is cracked like freddy kruger had a swing at it, nothing was hooked up.

well too bad for what you guys think. Everyone s13 ive seen that has decent body has a shitty motor with something not working. This is the first i have came across thats got a good motor just not a good body. Second, i dont care how the paint is on the car, it could have been primered gray and yall still would say its a pos and I got ripped off. Even if i got one for 1300 itll still be a pos to you guys, so basically there is no pleasing you guys no matter what. Im not getting another 5spd from someone because of what happened to the last s13.Doesnt mean i cant drive 5spd. How can you drive one with no shift knob,hmm? Its broken and falls off when shifting, I cant drive a 5spd like that and every 5spd ive came across looking to buy is like that. To me that isnt a well taken care of car. I dont know about guys, but i bet to you thats nothing. But not for me, second i change my mind,Its going to be my track car. Who gives a shit if the paints bad, ive seen worse drift cars. You CAN infact drift an automatic with a welded diff, but thats not the case here because im not going to drift it until im ready. I didnt mentioned that new price because you all jumped ahead of yourselfs before asking what IM paying. Just because HE posted 3300 doesnt mean thats what he is really asking. Its all part of negotiating too. He called me after a week he posted it and brought it down to 2500,he just never posted it.

I posted the link to just show you the car, not the price,:nono:. I think this is more of a deal because it isnt falling apart like the s13, I dont see anything missing or anything,interior fucked up.
