Ok its to backup your games. Lets not talk about any illegal activities, but yeah.

My ps3 been boxed up for a while, but this is cool. I wonder If Sony will fight against this.

One of the reason my GT5 got delayed again...Sony's adding a new firmware in it. You do this to your PS3, you cant play GT5.

For those with an android phone, you can jailbreak your ps3 easily without the need for a developmental usb dongle!

lol LAAAAAATE! anyway as far as new information goes, the original people that made the hack said that they werent going to release anything else basically because on one was buying their product (and who would...seeing as how when they came out, they wanted 150+ for software thats available on the internet) IF you do plan on doing this, dont update your PS3 to 3.21 IIRC..BUT you cant go online so have fun playing with yourself....ON THE GAME PEOPLE...on the game...not the other...nevermind...

Not really surprised, just saddened. I almost bought a PS3 last week just to buy GT5. Well looks like I'll wait another month or so.

3.41 is the firmware you want to be at. I think one or two previous firmwares can be jailbroken.

3.50 (latest firmware version) has also been jailbroken. Its not fully functional just yet though.
