My new 240

I just bought a 1989 240sx for $900 cause it has a blown head gasket, i'm planning on fixing it my self i just wanted to know how hard it is and if maybe i should bring it to a mechanic.

Well if you are asking you prolly will need to take it to a mechanic, first to check if thats the only problem, then he can tell you all you need to know, try to find someone you know.

What do you plan on doing with it? Swap motors? If so then check the body for rust or bent frame, etc...
