Who here drinks coffee everyday? I feel like ive become so dependent on it that I cannot function without a coffee in the morning. In the afternoon I almost always also have an energy drink too. Ive become so desensitized to caffeine that it doesnt do anything for me. I guess it doesnt help either that I went to Costa Rica earlier this year and brought back a lot of coffee haha.

I tried switching to green tea but coffee just tastes and smells so damn good. I think I really need to quit drinking this stuff since my body probably has a chemical dependency on it now. Anyone quit drinking coffee?

Post your tips and experiences! See any pros and cons that arent obvious?

I've got a Cafe Express order through Green Mountain Coffee (http://www.greenmountaincoffee.com/). Every 3 months they automatically ship me a box of coffee. I just go online the week before the shipment, pick out what I want, and it shows up on my door step. They have all different roasts/beans/flavors. I prefer Fair Trade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_trade) coffee, so everything I order from them is Fair Trade.

I get the coffee as whole beans, and have a Krups (http://www.krupsusa.com/All+Products/Coffee+Grinders/Products/Coffee+Grinders/GX4100.htm) coffee grinder that I use to grind the beans once a week. My wife and I have a 5-cup coffee maker that is just the right size to fill our travel mugs each morning. So every night I set up the coffee, hit the switch in the morning, and enjoy delicious, fresh brewed coffee each morning at work. I generally use Coffee Mate creamer, currently enjoying Italian Sweet Creme flavor, though we mix it up from time to time.

I just try out Trader Joe's coffee beans.
I'm really not that picky and will drink anything unless it's Folger's, Peet's or bland diner coffee.

I have a coffee machine (solis) at home because I'm too lazy & impatient to brew.
I do prefer Americanos over regular drip coffee, and enjoy getting a six-shot before work.

Caffeine honestly does nothing for me.
I just like the flavor of coffee.
If I don't drink it in the morning, I always get a headache which might be withdrawal, idk.

i'm a regular drinker as well... this time last year I started getting this weird uncontrollable "twitch" under my right eye, and i kinda had a feeling it was due to my coffee intake, so i quit cold turkey for 2 months, and man was that hard...

btw I'm huge Kona lover

I just had something like that recently.
For me it wasn't coffee related.

Having a cup of day, i don't see how that could be problematic unless you have allergies.

seriously...

one cup vietnamese coffee = 20 cups of starbucks coffee....

taste better and stronger....

you can go all day with one cup of vietnamese coffee in the morning....

I drink anywhere from 24-48oz of Coffee a day, on most days.

My personal preference is Dunkin' Donuts coffee, though I'll drink coffee from almost anywhere.

I think I'm addicted.

Headache if you don't drink it? Yup that is withdrawals. Caffeine is addicting. :D

LOL I have always felt Trader Joe's Coffee was garbage. My dad drinks it. I can't stand it.
I have been drinking Capricorn Coffee for damn near 20 years. If you don't know about them. They are a Wholesale Coffee place in San Francisco. They have been supplying exclusive hotels and restaurants around California since 1963. They roast fresh every day.
I bring it to special occasions i.e. Christmas and Thanksgiving and everyone loves it.
Sumatra Mandheling is my favorite bean.
I drink 2-3 cups in the morning(can't start my day without it) and a cup in the afternoon.
Of course the afternoon is quite often the Coffee bean ( which is not as good) but its a great outdoor patio where you meet a lot of hot women and cool people. LOL

Oh and caffeine definitely does something for me. LOL

Oh ya they Capricorn sells fair trade and regular coffee beans and they are on the web. So you can order and they ship in Vacuum pack bags.

My only advice is grind your own and french press it. With a french press you can throw in some herbal tea to spice things up a bit too.

100 percent coffee-a-holic. Started in late high school couple decades ago. Tried quitting many times though the use of tea as well but i always end up going back. What i recommend is just to reduce rather than eliminate. Have lesser volume of coffee each day but enjoy premium coffees instead. Also, If you can substitute even 1 of your cups with a tea than your doing good too.

Trader's Joe's is pretty decent for the price imo.
(it's a write-off, but still I have to be reasonable here)
Plus they have reasonable selection, and it's convenient for me.
No doubt there's better stuff out there,
I'm just doubtful I'm at the level where I could appreciate spending the premium.
Nonetheless, I'll check out Capricorn as you suggested.
