Nice. When i was in Peru i loved the fact that Skylines, S15's, EVO 3's and such were all LHD.

Yeah it surprised the hell out of me too. Would be cool to import one so you wouldnt have to deal with the RHD in the states.

same here i was like ... s15 LHD ?? LIES! but .. when you think of it the popular countries/cities always have cars that meet there standards.. its just u.s. wants to be lame.

In Chile are forbidden cars with steering wheels on the right side, so they change it to the left side including in Silvia's and Skyline's

En iquique ( una ciudad de Chile) tiene muchas piezas y autos japoneses (a esta ciudad-puerto llegan los autos desde JapÃ³n)

In Iquique (a city in Chile) has many parts and Japanese cars (to this city-port cars come from Japan)

Los importan de JapÃ³n y llegan a Iquique en el Norte de Chile.

The imported from Japan and arrive in Iquique in northern Chile.

La verdad, no estoy al tanto sobre las leyes en Peru. Pero todos los autos que llegan a ese pais llegan primero a Chile, y luego son llevados a Peru.

The truth, I'm not aware of the laws in Peru. But all the cars that come to this country come first to Chile, and then are taken to Peru.

Disculpen, hice mal el calculo en dolares. Un Silvia S15 Spec S (2.0 N/A) cuesta alrededor de $6.000 mÃ¡s impuestos y transporte hasta Estados Unidos... $15.000

En Chile esos autos son muy baratos, el problemas es sacarlos de Iquique, la cuidad a la que llegan. Para ello hay que tener un "Cupo". Parece mentira pero es cierto!

In Chile these cars are very cheap, the problem is get them out of Iquique, the city in which they arrive. To do this you must have a "Cupo". Seems incredible but true!

Can you please list some contact info for the people that do the LHD s15 dash conversion!? I just want the dashboard, center console, and door cards. I don't need any firewall work done or steering shaft work. I want to swap it all into an s13 and I've been looking for someone/someplace that does this work!

most south american countries get GERMAN spec cars , wich are lhd ,
s14 came sr'ed powered lhd from the factory as for s15's
the issue is there arent that many, germans love beemers and benz's
as for removing a car from south america to the states
nearly impossible
federal laws and taxes are a bitch
one paragraph of stipulacions prohibits modified interiors (becuase of airbags and shit) also it wasnt cost efective
i have a 96 gc8 in argentina and a 95 lancer gt , both cars i purchased back in 03 and by summer of 05 gave up on bringing them here, to much bullshit, and the cost was retarded high, even finding a shipping company that would ship the car, they normally go south with cars and back north with fruits and vegetables
also the fitment game
its about income
tires are about the same price as the states( 17x45x225 = 235u$s/ 18x40x225 =250u$s aprox) ...... those are 2 comun tire sizes in the oem world, per tire , now a family of 4 needs about 600u$s a month and makes about that much if not less a month , so either eat or get 1 tire a month, or just slap on whatever comes with it
by the way im from mendoza argentina about 800km from santiago chile living in florida
