280z ??

Hey guys jusy a quick question on an oldie but goodie.

Does anyone know the power output of the old 83' 280Z both turbo and non-turbo?
I'm wondering cause I found one for sale locally, and I'm thinking about starting it as a project car. Also what engine sits in those babies?

If '83 is the model year, you are not speaking of a 280z (s30) but rather a 280zx. For the '83 model year, the NA power was 145hp and turbos had 180hp and over 200ft-lb of torque. The engine in both is the L28e or L28et, depending on model. Both are 2.8 liter straight 6's, very potent engines in their day, and still put out good numbers.
