so im getting mixed info from posts that ive searched..
i have a 93 n/a 300zx diff going in my s13 coupe. ive read that i need to switch the cover from my oem diff to the zx diff to work and ive also heard that it can work with out it and some people like the zx cover cuz it has cooling fins and has a larger capacity. so which is it???
also just making sure that 92-94 j30 axles are what i need?
also whats the deal with abs, my car doesnt have it but if the diff does what do i need to do?
thanks for help

well dinkous you will need to change your diff cover seeing how that s13 is a 4 bolt and the z32 is a 2 bolt. yes you can use a j30's 5 bolt axles on an s13. all of this could have been answered if you had google searched

you'll need to swap in your stock open diff cover to the z32 pumpkin. s13 uses 4 mounting studs on diff cover while z32 uses 2 with bushings. i recommend you buy solid bushings for the mounts. s14 solid bushings like stance or DIF will work.
as far as axles go, if you want to stay with the axles you have now, youll need the jdm s13 axle stubs or frm 95-96 j30 axle stubs but right side axle stub will stick out more bc its abit longer but will work fine.
no need to worry about abs bc ur not using the j30 diff.
pm me if you got any questions just finished my swap yesterday n i got pics too so

That's incorrect. The early 1992-1994 J30 axles are the 5bolt ones he would need. 1995-1997 are 6bolt.

i cant find 92 to 94 j30 axles anywhere...does anyone know where to get them????
i recommend you buy solid bushings for the mounts. s14 solid bushings like stance or DIF will work.
or he could swap out the vlsd into S13 pumpkin and skip the bushings.
If you don't - get yourself longer bolts for the front mounts, S13 ones are too short by about 20mm IIRC
