Ka24e motor w/ 97 DE tranny

I have a ka24e w/ a 97 ka24De tranny and the driveshaft is too long. should i chop and weld or should i just get the front section of the driftshaft of the 97 s14 to see if it fits on the s13 rear section. i just want to know to see if it works or not. i searched on the net but i see s13s with a e w/ de trannys but 92 tranny and vice versa. what to do..............

all KA trannys are the same 89-98

make sure you have the correct DS for your diff

a car with ABS using a Non ABS DS will make the DS be too long
