Let's see i was a junior in high school in 1994...i remember getting the keys from my sister's old 1990 240sx fastback for good since we sold the old honda. That 240 was my daily driver...ever since i've loved 240's and Nissans....after i sold the 240 in 1997 i driven a Nissan Maxima, Honda Accord, Toyota Camery....no car just felt my old 240....so 2001 rolls around i have a decent job and one day i surf the autotrader.com and low and BEHOLD there she a 1998 240sx SE with only 29,000 miles and 5pd...she was 250 miles away....i called the dealer and said hold that ish for me i'm coming down after work to pick that car. Drove down thru killer LA traffic and signed the deal 4 hours later. I finally own the dream car that i wanted and bought it myself...how else can life be better eh?

ROFL i remember when i was 14 and sneaking out the 240 from my sister...#### that was the good old days

well i had seen 240sx and they always looked mean to me (the 97-98). then i was talkin to this kid i know whose got one and he mentioned the rwd and i said #### a jap car with rwd. then i thought about the handling advantages and launching advantages (drifting was never a reason) and then i saw one on autotrader for 10g's (97 5spd) and i though shit i finally found one. so i got my parents to buy my car early and no i couldnt be happier w/ my disicion.

I was looking for an eclipse...and i found one in a dealership in miami. I figured i'd go check it out. I got there and looked at the eclipse...it was sickening. Yellowed interior, dents, scratches, missing mirror. I was furious. Then my friend (who owns a 96 240 says "look over there." I glance over and there it was...a 95 240sx se 5 spd. I checked it out, few dings (shopping cart run-ins probably) the interior was flawless. Since i drove my friends 240 often, i knew the car..and i knew i loved it. So, the downpayment went on that instead of the eclipse. Fate would have it...I LOVE my car

The S14s are an uncommon car, It was either an RX-7 3rd gen, or an S14. I wanted to impress the girl I was dating at the time. She didn't know what the #### kinda car it was.. she loved Eclipses.. ugh! In the end, i am left with my real love. The 240sx.

After i wrecked my accord, i had the option of putting all the stuff i had on my old one into a new accord, but i wanted to be unique, i saw way to many modded accords, so it was either a Mr2 turbo, 93 rx-, or a 240sx 5 speed, guess which one i picked?

I walked into a used car dealersdhip (that sold primarily Jeeps - fancy that) where a friend of a friend worked. I asked, "Do you have any black 2-door sports coupes on the lot?", adding, "Like, an Integra, a Supra, a Prelude, anything in that genre". He replied, "Well, I have a 240sx".

I was young and niave, I guess (after all, the cars I mentioned are a dime a dozen on the road - this was not), so I asked, "Uhm, okay, where's that? I don't think I've ever seen one." He walked me to it and I said, "That is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen".

In my head, the deal was done already, but it wasn't until the following day that the dealer came down actual Blue Book value. I bought it on the spot, promising to come back "eventually" for the car I drove to the dealership - which I essentially abandoned in the Toys 'R Us next door for a week.

Incidently, initial appearance and my few minute test drive were why I picked a 240. Once I learned just how much fun owning one was (after you get used to how well the car does absolutely everything), that's why I kept it for about two and a half years - the longest I've owned any car.

And, had I moved to Boston last year like I thought about, I would still have my 240 today. But with spring, summer and fall the way they are around here - I had an incurable case of "convertible fever".

I'll keep it short

Got a Civic in 96, love for Hondas started there. Bought an Integra Type R in Nov '99, drove it, modded it, raced it, saw all my Type R friends getting theirs stolen, sold it and got kinda burnt out on the whole Honda/Acura thing. Found an S14, wanted a S13 coupe, they seem to be rare as #### so after 6 months of looking I picked it up Sat.

Here I am now.....

I looked in one of those auto trader magazines and saw a 240SX and knew I liked the 300ZX so I though I would go look at the car. I ended up buying the car, which was a 89 Fastback when I was 15, 6 years later and 4 240SX's later I guess id have to call it fate

lets see....
started driving with a 65 Ford Mustang, did not go around corners well:biggrin:
so I went out and got a 71 4 door Datsun 510, I had driven my older sisters 510 before and they where just a blast to drive.
bought a 69 2 door 510. this was the first car I really set up myself
suspension tech springs, bilsteins , pumped out the L16 with 240z flattop pistons .40 over, L18 head(larger valves) port job , de long cam, side draft 40mm weber carb. put out around 150hp mind you this was a 2000lb car.
Next up was my first of many 240z's a 72
got a second 240z another 72
71 240z
70240z
71 240z
plus assorted parts cars
Ford Galaxie 500 70 with a 302 V8
Ford Fiesta x2
71 Datsun 510 wagon
90 Hardbody truck
needed air after moving to socal decided I wanted a sportscar again had to be rear wheel drive and weren't a lot of options. Since I was a Nissan lover the 240sx was my girl and something affordable (read did not want to make payments)
found a 89 fastback 240sx with VLSD it was a salvage and I paid $1300 for it. Drove it 20K when it reached 170K and the injectors started to leak and the starter went figured I would sell it and start over.
Results Now own a Black 91 Fastback with 24K on it. this car is straight up nice.

I had worked two jobs; one at a travel agency and the other in the Nissan dealership. My boyfriend has a '96 and I really liked his car and learned to love 240s dating him. One day, he called me at my morning job, told me they took a '91 in and I told him to slap a "sold" tag on it. A few hours later, my paperwork was done and I owned my first '91 SE. As most of you know, I fell in love with them having my first 240, and well... I just bought my second one a few days ago. I don't think I'll ever change...

After owning a 2000 Celica GT, I decided I needed turbo (for ease in modification), and more importantly, RWD...I was actually close as shit to getting an R32 through Motorex (yeah, I woulda been spoiled as shit, but its a FUCKING R32!!!! you'd take it too, u know it...) but that fell through (#### right hand drive). After that, my choices were an RX-7 and a 240SX (which I would drop an SR into). After my little bro had his mind set on an RX-7, I decided that working on a rotary would be a pain anyway...so I picked up my '95 for 4750 thanksgiving weekend...the engine transplant began a month later, and I'm within days of finishing now.

I was actually looking for '97 or up Prelude when I found my s14. I saw it at a used car dealership one day and absolutely loved the front end of it (97 model). So I went home and did a little research on 240sx's and discovered that it was RWD (!) So I went to the car lot and talked to the about it for a while then asked to test drive it. He said sure and said I could take it out for the whole day as long as it was back by around 30pm. So I drove it around for a while, took it to the interstate and then I feel in love. I went back and bought that day.

I used to be all about Honda/Acura (I still think they have some great cars). My dream car was the 'Teg GS-R. At the time, I was stuck driving an auto '95 Accord EX...and autox'ing it! My mom was driving a '95 Chevy Z-71 80 miles round trip to work and back every day....gas consumption was rediculous, so she looked for something cheap with good gas mileage. In the meantime, I'm still saving money for a GS-R and rowing that boat of an Accord through the cones. One weekend I come home from college and see this little brown car in the driveway. Mom had bought a car and parked the truck. I stand in the driveway giving it a good lookover....."hmmmmm....Nissan 240SX.....looks good," I thought. I go in and ask about it. "What? Rear wheel drive?...Impressive. 155hp?...Not bad." Two weeks later, another autoX rolled around and I begged my mom into letting me borrow the car for the day. I took 3rd in E-Stock first time to ever drive the car...I was sold. Get back home...."Hey Mom, Wanna trade?" I was surprised when I heard an enthusiastic "Yes!" Turns out, it was her plan all along. The Accord used to be hers and she secretly wanted it back, but I needed it until I could buy another car. We traded straight up, and here I am now.:)

I needed a cheap car with decent power and good gas mileage for my daily commute... and on top of that I was looking for something with enough storage space for hockey equipment. Somehow I ended up with a 1992 S13.....
After crashing that in less than a year... I needed something to replace it with. Given the insurance money for the '92... I bought a 1995 S14, while searching for something more practical ('94-'97 Honda Accord Wagon). The odds......

Loved my Civic hatch, but I realized that if I wanted to take it to the next level, it would be costly and make the car virtually unstreetable. Since that was going to take an ITR motor, etc. I decided that I might be better off getting a beater toy to have fun at autoxes and tracks with and keeping the Si more mild mannered.

Dilemma: I don't like the build quality of US cars and I wanted to try RWD for the performance and found my choices for a cheap (read no payments) toy were: AE86; 1st Gen Rx7; s13.

I did my homework: Everyone w/ an 86 thinks its a sports car that deserves to sell for its 1986 sticker price - even w/ rust holes! Rotary... hmmm + rust. S13 - cheap, good reviews for handling, newer, decent factory motor, could be a hybrid/SR? So I had a project car all picked out.

Enter girlfriend: THAT car - those are so ugly! So dated - so cheap looking. It's such a busboy's car... what about a BMW or a C-Class?

The "compromise" was sell the Civic, buy the very attractive and equally modifiable s14. If I had it to do all over again, I would have bought a 1st or 2nd Gen Rx7 (and kept the Civic) or maybe a 944 (esp. Turbo "S"). But for now, I'm happy w/ the 240 and look forward to it reaching its potential.

Was looking for a car for some several months. Sister calls from Florida saying "Friend here is selling an old Nissan 200sx or something for $1200" I think "meh," but look into it a littl more. '89 with 79k miles, much better than the other cars I was looking at. Poke arounda bit, find there's no such thing as an '89 200sx. Find it's a 240sx, look up some information. Call my sister to tell her the check was in the mail. At the time I was thinking "cheap car, low miles. Good." Picked it up and ####. A year later got a 5spd '92 and sold the old one to my sister.

I was looking for any thing import cheap and 5speed. The choices were VW Corrado, Nissan Sentra, Honda Accord, and the 240sx. Out of all the choices the 240sx was the cheapest and the closes to me and it happened to be in my favorite color(champagne gold) and the same color as my silvia. The owner had it listed for $2800 with 140,000 miles but I don't really care about mileage. He wasn't really trying to make killing on it so he sold it to me for $2000(showing up with cash helped also). It was taken car of really good. The only thing is that the radio harness was chopped and the brackets gone. Also, three of the injectors leak but I'll fix that someday, I guess thats a common problem with the SOHC engine. Like I said mileage doesn't mean anything to me if it was taken car of. I gave it the ultimate test the day after I bought it when I drove it from RI to NC......Ran like a champ.

About 3 years ago I was really into Civic's...and the idea of swapping a 1.8 liter GSR motor into one....so I started buying Super Street magazine (among others). Then, one month...in Super Street.... they had a red 97 LE 240SX....that HKS had turboed and redone. In the pictures they were roasting the rear tires...and it was listed at like 250 HP...and I was like "huh....RWD???....no way" Thats when I fell in love with the S14a. I soon realized how rare those cars are...and I was totally sold. Then, about 4 months ago....my 86 accord had a joint go bad on the rear stabilizer arm......and my left rear wheel collapsed onto the spring. I was so pissed. So, after about 2 weeks of getting rides to work......I found my 93 hatch (perfect condition) at a Toyota dealership for $4k (via autotrader). I test drove it...fell in love with it....and now own it. I wasnt totally sure if I liked the S13 or not....because the wheel gap always bugged me....and the front bumper just doesnt seem close enough to the ground. Then...once I found out about the Silvia S13 front end (3 projector) conversion...and bomex underbumper lip....I was sold like a MF! Personally I think the S13 3 projector lights are even better looking than the S15...with the center peice and all.

I got my 95 240 SE due to the fact that it was selling for 2 grand. And it was in good ass condition. Almost brand new looking, with 97k miles. No salvage title or anything....believe I've checked to make sure. I have a 87 Nissan Pickup truck too for utility reasons.
