I started wiring my ignition harness for my sr and I've run into an issue that I can't quite figure out. Everything is based on this diagram:

And here is what I have thus far:

The relays are for- ignition, fuel pump, and eccs, as are the circuit breakers. The big breaker on the left is for the alternator and the copper strip on the backside of the panel is for power (connected to the battery cable).
What I am trying to figure out is the alternator, the diagram shows that both of the white wires coming from the alternator are to be joined at the same power source. Do I really need the wire coming from the plug at all? or can I just use the white wire coming off the alternator post and connect it to power? And should this be connected directly to the battery or can I branch it off of my power block on my breaker panel (the copper strip on the back side of it)?
