Boost gauge light cuts off when windshield wipers cut on?

Need some help from the wiring guru's. The car is a 1990 s13 with a ka24det. I was riding home from work last night and noticed that every time the wipers started to move, the backlight to the boost gauge would go out until the wipers came to rest. Then, the backlight would come back on until the wipers started again. The light is going completely out, not dimming or anything. And, I'm pretty sure the gauge itself is functioning properly the whole time. This isn't a big problem but it's a nuisance to me. Thanks in advance for any help!

check the ground. you might have a bad location for your ground.

there must be a wire thats tapped into the windshield wipper control or somthing... i would make sure its either wired to the light dimer.. or light on off switch. or what he said could be a messed up ground but i just dont see the ground effecting the light of the boost controller when the blades turn on..

Yes I agree, I would go back and review what you tapped into for power and the dimmer for the gauge from. Double check all connections!
