car: 1990 s13 5 speed

i had coolant leaking out my heater core, so i tore the dash out to fix it. got that done and began to put it all back together.

problem is that when i turn the car on the fuel and coolant temp guages max out right away. the tach and the speedometer do not work. all fuses are good.

everything worked perfectly 2 days earlier when i decided to take care of the leak. i had the dash, crossbar, heater core, a/c evaporator, and carpet out(took carpet out to replace with a spare i had.)

please give me advise as i have a road trip coming up and would like to have this sorted out, thanks

pull your cluster and see if anything looks amiss. Maybe you don't have a plug seated properly, or maybe you've got a bad ground. Doesn't take too long to pull the cluster.

you obviously hooked somthing up wrong. Pull the dash back out and check your harness for splits, and any wires you might have crushed or pinched with another one. Did you mess with the cluster at all? And your positive ALL the fuses are fine. Once the dash is out plug the cluster back in and start checking connectors, also check the back of the cluster to see if you wrecked the circuit sheet (its not really board).
