hey,

before my old KA hit the dust i bought nice new iridium IX plugs for it, would i be able to use these on my sr? it screws in n/p and and local automotive store the B13 and 240sx are the same product number, and comparing the old SR ones and the new KA ones is that the KA's tip that bends over to make the gap is longer than the old b13's. should this make a difference?

thanks

`nik

Just make sure the length is correct and they will not hit the pistons...and you are cool.

is there a way to check if they are TOO long.

Compare them to what is supposed to be in the engine. Longer plugs that are safe also raise the compression a small amount by taking up CC's in the Combustion chamber.

so there isn't away to check to see if the length is too long? ... hmm i really dont want to FK up my cylinders.

dont be so goddamn cheap, just go to autozone and get some NGKs, you can't afford $7?

lol, thanks,

im just wondering wether or not i need to get new plugs because the 91 sentra plugs are the same model number as the 240, but i noticed a difference in length by like 3 mm, i dunno i'll just get some new ones i guess ... good bye $45.00 ...

I just wanted to chime in, abeit a month late. You don't want ANY threads to stick out into the combustion chamber. Sure, it would take up some CC's. But it would be negligible. The reason you don't want to is because,

1. The rough edges can help contribute to detonation as they will be hot.

2. When you try to remove them they can accumulate carbon deposits and be harder to get out.

3. Like, Bill mentioned if they are REALLY to long they will hit the piston. But if your plugs hit your piston you are an idiot for sticking that plug in.
