Looking for least sound from my ka-t 3" turbo back, has huge no name can i need to change and small resonator + cat. To loud for my taste. Do i need a pre muffler after cat before resonator ? How are the fujitsubo and apexi ws2 mufflers ? Any feedback from those who have ?

Just shove babies in the piping and you'll be set.

Look for the biggest muffler you can fit , and try to avoid canister types. More along the lines of world sport, rsr, etc. As for resonator try and get the biggest you can for that too. Obx makes one pretty big and vibrant does too, think vibrnat calls it the ultra quiet resonator or something. I've seen both on ebay and both are stainless. I would just run it like factory set up...cat->resonator->muffler
high flow 3" cat->resonator->muffler
make sure you get a high flow catttt

Blitz Realize TT. I run it on my 240. i have I/H/E/S13 Cams with random exhaust leaks, and its quiet at idle. When its warmed up you can barely hear it. But when i go WOT or more than 50% throttle its pretty loud. Rev-matching sounds incredible..Overall its one of the quietest exhausts that you can STILL buy. I was disappointed when i found out that the Apexi Noir was discontinued.

I have megan racing type 2 on my car with sr20. Straight 3" pipe all the way through to the muffler.
Heres a lame video of my car with it. It would be even quieter with a cat installed.

I thought the reinhard was pretty quite. Without a any type of restriction other then the baffles that are in the tips, its essentially a straight pipe. And I am n/a, but I am planning on getting a resonator so I can take out the baffles.
I thought without a resonator it was going to be loud as shit. But its a whole like quiter then my old trust dd with a hole in the muffler.

I have the Megan Type 2 on my 240.. Non turbo KA, with just an exhaust. Its LOUD. If this is what quiet is supposed to be, Id hate to hear a loud exhaust.
Not a worthwhile purchase. Ive had the exhaust about 2 years, and ive already had the axleback hanger rust off twice. I welded it back on once, gave up the second time and just covered the hole with a peice of sheet metal. Honestly, get a stainless steel exhaust. Its worth the money if youre going to keep your car for more than a year or two. My Megan started being crappy after about a year. Not to mention the fitment wasnt that great outta the box. Im looking for quiet exhausts to REPLACE my Megan.
Also, Im running a stock cat. And its still BALLS loud.

You talkin to me? Yeah Im aware the turbo will quiet it down. But like a lot of people on this site, with the addition of a turbo comes the removal of the cat. If its this loud with a cat and no turbo, I cant imagine itll be much quieter with a turbo and no cat.

Anything with a silencer. Makes all the difference.
I have a huge obnoxious 3" HKS Hi-Power on a stock KA, which should be fucking crazy loud, but with a silencer it's not bad at all.

I'm running a Fujitsubo Legalis R, It's perfect if you're looking for a quite yet throaty exhaust. It's not raspy at all, opens up really well brings out a little yet quite noticeable amount of life over a stock setup. Very quality build good welds, solid design fits flush.

Nvm sorry I didn't read your post, Like the 2nd reply said go turbo..
otherwise, just go back to stock exhaust, I don't really care for flow on a NA 240sx, you would need a little back pressure any ways, I'd love to go back to stock, I hate having an exhaust on a KA sounds like shit, don't deny it.
I have a straight 2.5 inch with a 22 inch res from a toyota sienna, and its to loud for me, I don't notice any performance gains from that shit, I would love to go back to stock.

For high quality try out an HKS Silent Hi-Power exhaust system. Extremely well made and will last for years to come.
60mm for NA and 75~80mm for turbo cars are made.

Custom Exhaust
3in (or 3.75 to take up for lose of hp thru mufflers)
- Muffler in place of stock cat
- Resonator in mid-pipe (optional)
- Muffler at end of exhaust
Buddy has his s14 ka-t (524hp) set up with a Magnaflow/Flowmaster (forgot) in place of cat and another Magnaflow/Flowmaster at the end.....sounds like a stock exhaust...except when the open-wastegate opens up lol

Use a Moroso Spiral Flow as your resonator. I used a 3" one on my old car and it basically killed ~50% of the loudness at idle and WOT.

I'm running a JGY 3in resonated testpipe, and 3in apexi noiron my ka-t. It sounds like a factory evo 8 with just all spool from intake sound , quietest iv ever had, I got luck last July when it was on eBay , just keep an eye out , they've been discontinued for a while now but sometimes u see them pop up here and there.
