What are the Differences between the r33 gt-s rb25det series 1 and series 2 ecu?
Would a series 1 ecu cause my car not to turn on if it's a series 2 motor? That's the problem im having right now.

yes and yes.
S1 uses an ignitor chip and S2 does not.
S1 uses a green tag maf ( not sure the exact number N62 ,63 or whatever ) green tag. S2 maf uses a pink tag.
you cannot use a S2 ecu on a S1 , wont work.

So a series 1 ecu wont work on a series 2 motor? You wrote it backwards haha

all you have to do is do some re pinning, S2 have the ignitier built into the coil, you have to do some re pinning on the ECU and it will work just fine. do some Google.
Difference between the MAF's is that the S1 use the J60 maf, which is actually the same as the early Maxima's that use the N60 MAF, and that S2 use the N60 MAF itself with a different plug that's all.
