What exactly is involved in installation? I understand it comes with instructions, however, I don't have my tools with me as I'm away at school for the next year, and am 2500 km away from home. Hence me asking the level of difficulty with BASIC tools.

The easiest way to do the installation would be to remove your stock headlights. This can all be done by just using a phillips screwdriver. If you don't have H4 housings right now, you'll also need to pick those up. I can put a package deal together. After that you just have to install the HID kit with housing and mount the ballasts somewhere.

There is only one bulb / one filament for the high and low beam. The bulb is attached to a solenoid that moves in and out when the high beam is activated or deactivated. It simulates a "high" beam and works very well.

I have pop-up headlights. To my understanding, if HIDs are installed with the pop-up headlights, the headlights must stay in the UP position at ALL times? Is this true? I would still like to be able to have the headlights function as usual with the HIDs. Please clarify.

This is not true at all. HID's do not affect the way the pop up lights function in any way. All you need to do is get a pair of H4 conversion housings, and H4 HID kit, install and you're set. PM me if you would like to place an order.

goodbuy, goodguys, had my 4300k set for over a year with no issues. people say hid's change color over time(happens to bmws), but these have been perfect with no color change.
